Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the body. Collagen is naturally occurring in the body. However, in our mid-twenties the body slows the production of it, causing skin to sag and wrinkle, joints to stiffen and ache, and hair and nails to become brittle.
Each 250g box contains 2 x 125g containers of marine collagen peptide powder – for a total of 50 x 5 gram servings per box.
Clinical trials were realized in order to evaluate the allergenicity of food-grade fish gelatin. A randomized, double-blinded, placebo controlled oral challenge study, published by the Food and Chemical Toxicology Journal, reported that fish allergic patients should not develop any observable allergic reactions to hydrolyzed fish collagen. These results can be explained by the fact that during the manufacturing process, allergens are removed through a carefully controlled washing procedure, resulting in a hydrolyzed fish collagen free from allergens.
