Ingredients
Beef Patties
- ¾ lb grass-fed ground beef (80/20)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
Bowl Base & Toppings
- 4 cups mixed greens or shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 dill pickle slices
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 2 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
From-Scratch Burger Sauce
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle brine
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Make the Burger Sauce
- Whisk together mayo, Dijon, pickle brine, smoked paprika, and garlic. Season with salt. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Cook the Patties
- Season ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 2 patties.
- Heat avocado oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side for medium.
- If using cheese, add in the last minute and cover to melt. Rest for 3 minutes, then slice.
Assemble the Bowl
- Divide greens between two bowls.
- Top with sliced beef patty, tomato, red onion, pickles, and avocado.
- Drizzle generously with burger sauce. Serve immediately.
