  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

Vegetables

  • 3 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

From-Scratch Umami Stir-Fry Sauce

  • 3 tbsp tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (gluten-free if needed)
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

Marinate the Beef

  1. Toss sliced beef with tamari and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes.

Make the Sauce

  1. Whisk together tamari, oyster sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, honey, and water. Set aside.

Stir Fry

  1. Heat 1 tbsp avocado oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until smoking.
  2. Add beef in a single layer. Sear for 1–2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil. Stir-fry broccoli and bell peppers for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add snap peas and spring onions; stir-fry for 1 minute.
  5. Return beef to the wok. Pour sauce over everything and toss to coat. Cook for 1 minute until sauce thickens slightly.

Serve

  1. Divide among four bowls over steamed rice or cauliflower rice.
  2. Garnish with sesame seeds and extra spring onions. Serve immediately.

Nutrition Notes

Grass-fed beef is higher in omega-3 fatty acids and CLA than conventional beef. This stir fry is gluten-free and high in protein. The from-scratch umami sauce uses tamari instead of regular soy sauce — no artificial additives.
