Ingredients
Spiced Beef
- 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
Tacos
- 8 small corn tortillas (gluten-free), warmed
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
- Lime wedges for serving
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
From-Scratch Fresh Salsa
- 3 roma tomatoes, finely diced
- ¼ white onion, finely diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 3 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Make the Fresh Salsa
- Combine tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime juice. Season with salt.
- Toss and set aside to marinate for at least 5 minutes.
Cook the Beef
- Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and break apart.
- Season with chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Cook for 7–8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
Assemble the Tacos
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a gas flame for 30 seconds per side.
- Fill each tortilla with spiced beef, fresh salsa, avocado, and shredded cabbage.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
