Ingredients
Stir Fry
- 1 lb ground kangaroo
- 3 cups bok choy, roughly chopped
- 1 cup broccolini florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 3 spring onions, sliced
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
From-Scratch Tamari Stir-Fry Sauce
- 3 tbsp tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ tsp chili flakes
Instructions
Make the Sauce
- Whisk together tamari, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, ginger, garlic, and chili flakes. Set aside.
Stir Fry
- Heat avocado oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until smoking.
- Add ground kangaroo and stir-fry, breaking apart, for 4–5 minutes until browned.
- Add broccolini and snap peas; stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Add bok choy and spring onions; stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until just wilted.
- Pour sauce over the stir-fry and toss to coat. Cook for 1 minute.
Serve
- Divide among three bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds and extra spring onions.
- Serve immediately over cauliflower rice for strict keto, or steamed jasmine rice.

Kangaroo is one of the leanest red meats available, extremely high in protein and low in fat. This bowl is keto-friendly, gluten-free, and high in protein. Tamari is used in place of regular soy sauce to keep it gluten-free.
